Bulova began their glorious watch making journey in 1875, when 23 year old Bohemian lad, Joseph Bulova established a humble jewelry & watch shop in the plush city of New York. Joseph Bulova had a vision; a vision to create timepieces that was unsurpassed in every aspect!
It was this dream of his that enabled Bulova to create its first ever line of boudoir and table clocks in 1911. These boudoir and table clocks were an instant hit and sold in massive quantities. Thus, began the efficacious voyage of Bulova Watches!
It was at the brink of World War I, the necessity & convenience of wristwatches over pocket watches was recognized by Bulova. Bulova thus introduced its first full line of stunning Bulova Wristwatches for Men. These wristwatches were quite favourable to innumerable soldiers at war.
With the ever-growing success, Bulova adopted a renewed name on incorporation as the Bulova Watch Company Inc. in 1923. Soon after its incorporation, Bulova decided to cater the need of the women as well by introducing its gorgeous line of Bulova Watches for Women. These Watches for Women were often bejeweled with diamonds and crystals adding that special feminine spark.
Bulova's biggest breakthrough was the invention of the Accutron Watches in 1960 that made to the Moon and back! Accutron was the World’s First ever fully Electronic Timepiece and is regarded highly amongst the space officials and enthusiasts. Bulova Accutron was used as a timer placed in the Sea of Moon’s tranquillity to monitor vital data transmissions per year.
Attributing to its mechanism of vibrating tuning fork as a direct time keeping function, Accutron from Bulova proved to be highly beneficial in innumerable space voyages & research. A little over 4 million Bulova Accutron Watches were sold until the final cease of production in 1977.
